DrMadan pioneered embryo transfer in cattle and buffaloes and through ETT produced ten calves from a single elite cow in a year’s time. He also produced World’s First In-vitro fertilized (TEST TUBE-IVF) Buffalo calf and for this innovative technology, he received worldwide scientific acclaim and thereafter, Dr. Madan provided professional consultancies through FAO in the Developing world.

Prof. AC Varshney

Renowned Veterinarian, Clinician, Academician and Administrator joined DUVASU University as Vice Chancellor on 20th of February, 2013. Before joining as Vice-chancellor of DUVASU, Mathura, Prof. Varshney worked as Dean, College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, CAU, Aizawl, Mizoram, and Dean, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, CSKHPKV, Palampur

He handled 14 national level and 4 state level research projects; and also remained instrumental in bringing research and development projects at College and University level and developed good linkage with ICAR institutions and Universities. More than 13 postgraduate theses and over 160 research articles speak volumes of his contributions to the field of Veterinary Surgery. His major achievement in DUVASU was strengthening of faculty position, infrastructural development, addition of student amenities, liasoning with other institutions etc. He has travelled across the world for various academic and administrative projects with a vide collection of accolades from various institutions.

Joined Indian Administrative Service in 1973, after B.Sc. (Hons) Physics in 1969 from IIT Kharagpur, M.Sc. Physics in 1971 from IIT Kanpur & doing research in Physics for 2 years at the same institute. During service, did MBA from University of Leeds in 1988 under the British Colombo Plan. Retired as Chief Secretary in State Government of Haryana, India, after working for 36+ years at several positions (Secretary, Director, MD etc.) in government, public sector undertakings, VC of 2 universities & Director of Board of Governors of several educational institutions. Attended several in-service training programs in India & abroad, participated in national/international conferences. Written & published articles on governance, education and science & technology in leading news papers. In 2011, coauthored a book on IIT Kharagpur, which was released in 2011 by India's Prime Ministe at IITKgp's Golden Jubilee Celebrations After retirement on Oct 31, 2009, I was appointed State Election Commissioner (Nov. 9, 2009) for a period of five years to supervise and conduct elections to panchayati raj institutions (rural bodies) & municipal bodies. I finally retired in April, 2015. During 42+ years of service in government & State Election Commission, at operational and policy making positions, I have gained enormous insight in the formulation and execution of public policy, programs & projects, relationship between government and public, etc. He is also involved in promotion of science and technology and have set up a not-for-profit NGO [Society for Promotion of Science & Technology in India (SPSTI)], along with a number of eminent scientists, engineers, academicians and administrators.

Dr. Tejinder Singh Riar

Dr. Tejinder Singh Riar has joined as Additional Director Communication, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU)Riar has made an immense contribution to the field of extension education. He has served as Associate Director (Skill Development) and played a pivotal role in starting agri start-ups, incubation programmes and projects related to Punjab Skill Development Mission.

He has 31 research papers, 13 books, 27 bulletins and 68 popular articles to his credit. His research findings relating to group cohesiveness functioning of farmers’ organizations and evaluation of training programmes can be applied for the improvement of various extension programmes.

presently working as Director, ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Goats, Mathura (UP). He was earlier Principal Scientist in Animal Biotechnology at National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, India.

Dr. Chauhan is a Distinguished Scientist of India in the field of Reproductive Biotechnology of Livestock viz cattle, buffaloes, yaks and goats. He has developed Assisted Reproductive Technologies for enhancing the reproductive efficiency in livestock. He has significantly contributed towards the development of In vitro production (IVF) of embryos in cattle, buffalo and goat and yak; production of embryonic stem cell lines in buffalo; ovum pick up (OPU) - IVF technology in cattle and yak; cloning in buffalo using hand guided cloning.
